"What an honor it was to receive the Inaugural Steve Hollern Award today, on behalf of my father, at the Texas Republican Assembly State Convention. This will be a biennial award for an individual's contribution towards Reagan Conservatism. For those that don't know, he was deemed The Donkey Slayer in 1995 by Fort Worth Weekly for his efforts in converting Tarrant County from a Democrat to a Republican stronghold. Thank you Steve Atwell for all you did to make this happen."
